The beginning of this cookbook teaches about the history of the Mediterranean diet before it gets into the recipes. This cookbook is unique in that it doesn’t have one recipe per page, but it has lists of recipes one right after the other. There are over 1,300 recipes packed into this cookbook! There are pictures in this cookbook, but not many & you can purchase it in black and white or in color.

This cookbook is speaking my language! Less mess, less stress, right? Have you ever cooked dinner, ended up with everrrrry single pot & pan dirty just to realize the meal wasn’t even that good & definitely was not worth the mess? That won’t happen with this cookbook. I mean, you might not end up liking every recipe you make from it, but it won’t matter as much because your clean up time is just that one simple sheet pan.

Tacos are one of my favorite foods & because of that we have been known to break the rules & have Taco Thursday, Taco Saturday, Taco Monday, tacos are just too good to have to wait until Tuesday! If you are a rule follower, then this cookbook will satisfy your weekly Taco Tuesday for an entire year. Not only does this cookbook offer a variety of taco recipes, but it also has a handful of guacamole & salsa recipes. I don’t know about you, but it’s all about the toppings for me! Yum!

This would be a great cookbook for a new wife who is still learning her way around the kitchen. What better place to start then with tacos! The first few chapters dive into meal planning strategies, grocery shopping tips & basic food storage, then it gets into all the different taco recipes. I know this is a blog post about healthy cookbooks, but there is a chapter on dessert tacos & healthy or not, I can’t pass up dessert + taco!

My kids love being in the kitchen, helping me make dinner & often times making their own mess creations. We already have a handful of cookbooks for kids, but honestly, most of them have dessert in the title & large amounts of sugar in the ingredient list. I was happy to find a healthy & fun cookbook my kids can use that is minus the sugar, but probably still contains plenty of mess 😉

This cookbook would be great for a newlywed or anyone who wants to get more comfortable with preparing make ahead meals. The first part of the cookbook has so much valuable information on meal planning & meal prepping. My favorite part of this book, aside from the recipes, is the section on freezer storage. It goes through what can be frozen as well as how to freeze different food items. I think this cookbook will motivate you to take the jump into meal prepping make ahead meals for the week & also getting that freezer stocked up.
